I have never been to a NEXT sale but I like the clothes for the kids and was wondering when the sales are for NEXT? are there a couple of sales a year? When is the next one?

How do you find out when the sale starts near you and also is the online sale as good as the instore one?

For kids clothes do you need to go first thing to get the good items? As I am not sure if I can do 5 am or is it 7 am....

many thanks!

If you go to the store sales yes you do need to get there first, at least the queues are shorter!! Theink they are the end of dec & mid July. However the on-line sales is good but they give advance slots to regulars - not sure how that works though!

Habbibu · 02/03/2008 18:37

Next sales are horrible, I'm afraid - they mix up all the stuff, so it's impossible to find something you've liked before the sale. I'd try online, tbh, and if you are going to go to the shop, don't take children - poor things will not have fun...

mumofdjandp · 02/03/2008 18:41

thanks guys so in order to do the sale online do you book a slot and do you really have to go at 5 am to the instore sale to get anything or is that a myth...would soooooooo never take the kids they hate shopping almost as much as me ha ha

how much of a reduction is there on items roughly or does it just depend ?

It's a few years since I've been but I used to get there for when it opened. Lots of stuff is half price and some cheaper than that. All the cheap & nice stuff does go in the first few hours - honest!!!! If you go early and are quick shopping (just buy what you like and take back what you don't want a few days later) you can be home out the shop in an hour. go later in the day and you can queue for an hour!

thanks I think Ill brave it and see next time there is a sale !!

Hi there i lived in Scotland for a while and there is a clearance shop in Glasgow. I don't know exactly where but it was near one of the exits from glasgow central train station, if that is any use (that was about 3 years ago) but it was huge always had loads of stuff in it

JanieK · 05/03/2008 16:12

There is a big next clearance store at Parkhead Forge Retail Park. The one near central really only sells the Lime brand now and doesn't have as many good bargains.

There's also an outlet in Clydebank and one in Irvine.

ihateironing · 05/03/2008 21:42

theres one at livingstone designer outlet as well

alysonpeaches · 07/03/2008 13:23

Ive just been to the one at Heeley Retail Park and they have a lot of stuff in today. More kids stuff than usual, but I never really see anything for our kids. I got two smock style tops for me for £5 each though, and a rug for the kitchen for £12. There are a lot of curtains and duvets in today, as well as a lot of tops reduced to £5. Some of the ones marked £7 go through at £5.

AGHHHHHH HELLLLL!!!! I hate the next sales but thats probs because i used to work there. people used to fight over the clothes. it was quite frightening!!! however you can get some amazing bargains. little tip... look on their websites when the sales are on the majority of lines are also up at the same sale prices on there and you can escape the violence of the crowds.

Tommy · 08/03/2008 14:58

I've got afew bargains online in their sale. Sign up for email newslettters and you'll find out when they start.

Have never been to one in store. My friend used to queue up at 6am to get in

mosschops30 · 08/03/2008 15:16

I would never go into a shop for the sale, its horrendous!
I mostly get a VIP slot online for the sales and have bought some really good stuff (especially this Xmas when I spent about £200) bought some great stuff for the kids and some home stuff like cushions.

Get yourself a directory and sale shop online, its much more pleasant
