Steps to get £50

- Once quote is generated, join Octopus flexible tariff
- You will get £50 credit after your first direct debit payment is taken
Octopus is currently cheaper then most suppliers. This is because they did not pass on a standing charge increase in Janurary, unlike most of the other suppliers.
Octopus Tracker
The tracker tariff that is currently 20-30% cheaper then the current cap now has a 6 month wait. You may find it beneifical to already be on Octopus and then join the waitlist since it was requirement to be on Octopus energy before being able to be put on the tracker. 6 months is a long time but energy prices could well still be high and the tracker may well still be cheaper.
Check Octopus is cheaper before switching
Even if Octopus is the same price as your current supplier, it may still be beneifical to switch for the £50 alone.
