Octopus Energy £50 Account Credit

I’ve been with Octopus a while now and can honestly say I’m really pleased with them - they make it easy to adjust your direct debit amount and claim back any credit (unlike some I could mention!) and are always really helpful whenever I contact them. I recently had smart meters installed by them as well and was impressed how easy it was.

Just an update for anyone who is thinking of changing to Octopus…

They are now offering ‘Saving Sessions’ which basically reward you with payments if you can use less energy at certain times. You have to have a smart meter installed and they give you at least twelve 1-4 hour sessions over the winter to see if you can reduce your electricity usage during those times. If you can you earn points which you exchange for cash credited to your account.

I had heard about Octopus doing this which is the only reason I signed up for a smart meter.

Their boss was on Martin Lewis’s TV show last night and apparently they are taking on new customers now but you may have to ring them rather than do it online.

Their customer service has been really good IME so I can vouch for them if anyone is thinking of making a change.
