The salmon was lovely, would recommend and definitely make again. No hassle and really delicious.

I have never used a meal box before, what do you get? Can anyone recommend any dishes?

Blancettyblanc · 09/10/2022 09:46

So far,I have done Italian lentil ragu and Peruvian chicken. We really enjoyed both recipes and have got some good ideas for meals in the future.

Blancettyblanc · 09/10/2022 09:50

I liked the little pots and spices as well,no mess or waste, plus exactly the right amounts.

We really enjoyed the firecracker chicken noodles, but they were very spicy and a bit too much for our 11 year old.We have had bbq tandoori chicken with wedges which was lovely, and goan fish curry, which tasted as good as a takeaway. The only recipe which we were a bit underwhelmed with was the Spanish paella, which was still tasty, just not our favourite.

I like the fact you get a recipe card to reuse plus little suggestions and ideas to tweak things to your own taste.

I went for black bean chicken,Yemeni lamb pilaf, king prawn jalfrezi and lamb keema matar. We are on a takeaway ban for the whole of October,so hopefully if we get on with these, they can be good replacements. Then,we can put the cash saved towards our Christmas pot x

Thanks for free box,the idea of a meal service has never appealed before, but the recipes look good and I am open to giving it a try.We are not vegetarians, but trying to cut down on meat for health/money reasons and there are some interesting ideas. Thanks for thread.

Percyswigs · 11/10/2022 14:27

We have done spanish paella and a tandoori lamb dish so far and really enjoyed them both.

Toadymalone · 14/10/2022 16:06
