Yes. They're total cunts. Utter waste of time. I've been on the phone for an hour trying to cancel my account. This has been a marketing exercise that has really backfired.

I was about to post this too.

Mine was cancelled, I took all my dinners off my weekly supermarket delivery because I'd ordered a box.

To make matters worse the cut off for adding to my supermarket order has passed. So I'll have to adjust my weekend plans to fit in a food shop, and drag two kids along with me for the ride.

Beyond annoyed. I'd gone through and places orders to the following week too.

Didn't even think of that, they've taken all my personal and bank details. Set up the subscription and then cancelled my box.

It's not 100% clear what happens with the subscription.

What reason have they given for cancelling your boxes? That’s really bad! I have been having Gousto deliveries for years and they have never totally cancelled my box

Reason is 'overwhelming demand ' but email says 'glitch'. Such a waste of bloody time. If my card gets charged there will be blood.

'High demand' but if I put in the same postcode but a different email they'll let me order a 65% off box for delivery on the same day as my cancelled order.

Thing is, if they'd just turned around and been honest I would have paid the 65% off price.

Now I'm left without dinners for the week, and I'm going to have to somehow magic up the time between work and looking after my children to do another food shop.

Mine was cancelled, it was due on 8th August, email said they would still honour it, so ordered again for delivery on 15th August, all the meals from the previous order weren't there though, and the meal choices weren't as good.

Placed it Monday night, have now gone in to find out if I can get another delivery but all the choices I made are now sold out.
I can't see the new menu yet.

I actually was quite taken with the easy of it and had scheduled more deliveries but like the above I now have to face the supermarkets this weekend so not sure I will continue.

I ordered on Monday, so it's taken them 4 days to let me know it's not coming.

They said it'll be transferred to next week, but I think we'll cancel. Was really hoping to convince DH it was great with the free box and then keep a subscription.

But the whole thing just makes me doubt them. I might try hello fresh instead.

I am assuming you would have to chose different meals if they are transferring to next week, as the meals change weekly.
Was your order originally meant for this weekend?

Yep and won’t let me cancel the subscription either the auto button not working and none of the help emails. Not impressed…I suspect a marketing exercise gone tits up 🙄

Given how poorly they’ve managed this, I’ve no faith that the actual box will turn up on time and fully stocked a week later.

Shockingly, I’m on live chat and have asked for a refund and have been told “we only managed to capture a payment of £1.99”. Are they suggesting it’s so paltry I shouldn’t be seeking it back? Appalling attitude.

Totally cancelled. Have a look at their Twitter feed. It’s very enlightening as to quality of food and how shabbily existing customers are being treated. They’re not “capturing” any more of my money.

I'm confused because the website is telling me it's now coming next weekend, but I haven't had any messages from them. I hope they honour it! Again, annoying because I factored it in to my weekly food shop.

Mine has been cancelled twice in the space of a week. Someone I referred been cancelled three times... Its certainly putting us off paying for a box... Going to try and hold out for an actual delivery but not looking forward to trying to cancel it entirely... Glad I hadn't referred anyone else into this chaos.

Update.

I was able to rebook for this week. It seems only one of my recipes were OOS. It arrived today and I am a little bit excited.

Food looks to be fresh and good quality, admittedly slightly more work that I had imagined but no mental work of thinking what we are having. Looking forward to the next four meals.

Another update, not because I am linked to them but because if anyone searches this I feel it is only fair I update considering they sent me four days of free food.

I've only used three so far but have been impressed.

Good things

Takes away the mental load of planning dinner
Really tasty, didn't seem much when I first looked but everyone enjoyed.
Excellent portions. This was my biggest worry as we are all healthy big fat pigs eaters. I am not being 'MN Chicken' but two of the options would have fed five adults
Good quality ingredients, in fact we swapped out the delivered cheese for fridge cheese as grating and cooking it was a waste
Easy to order and lots of choice.

Bad things

Whilst food waste is less plastic waste is up. Feels bad opening little plastic bags of soy sauce etc.
Took me longer than advertised but then I'm a pretty distracted cook so that's probably on me.

Ultimately I hope someone has used my code and I get credit but even if I don't I'm rebooking for the first week at school which is always manic.

I'm eating my words. They sent me a box the next day and I'm blown away by the whole thing. The food is incredible quality. I've cooked 3 of the 4 recipes so far and they were utterly delicious, I'm blown away and I'm definitely going to get more in the future. I've been getting 5 portions instead of 4 despite being a greedy bugger. Please anyone use my link, I'm a total covert!
