I used someone's gusto code a while back and they took the full amount from my card then applied it as a credit against my next order. So while it's a great discount, it isn't exactly free and I was down £50. Or have I got it wrong? I ended up cancelling as I couldn't afford it.

@DrDetriment this is the same that happened to me. I couldn't work out if it was deducted from the first purchase or the next one and couldn't justify £50 on 4 dinners. That's my weeks shopping money.

Exactly. It is sort of a free box but what happens is they take the money, then credit it back on your account so you have to get another order to spend the credit. So although you get lots for your money which is great, you still end up spending the amount of the first box.

I used a friend's code last week and can confirm the box was 100% free, I wasn't charged a single penny.
