I need to buy some paint - probably directly from F&B as no one else has what I need in stock.

There is an "Enter Code" field in the shopping basket and it seems rude not to if it is possible.

Hoping a wonderful MN'er might know one given the F&B love here on MN - you put me onto F&B.

yes go to any decorators merchant and get the colour you want matched in a cheaper paint such as Dulux etc they all do it and it the same colour finish etc

I've tried that but I want paint for wooden stairs and no one else seems to do that. Tried Homebase & local paint place - they say they can't do it.

Besides I like F&B paint.

As above, most Decorating centres will colour match. My husband is in the trade and doesn't actually rate the paint quality itself

Try Tikkurila floor paint for wooden floors- it's brilliant and can be mixed to F&B colours.

the Tikkurila paint looks great - sadly I'd have to go to London to buy it as no one stocks it round here.

If you go into one of their shops for an appointment with one of their colour consultants (free) then everything you buy is 15% off at the moment

Try the decorating centre online - their matches are amazing and they’ll be able to mix in the right formula.

I agree with every word of this.

My mother goes to their outlet place. They sell opened and returned tin for pennies.

Colour matching F&B just doesn’t work in my opinion. Colours come out totally different and nowhere near as nice.

I used Paint & Paper .co.uk and got discount on F&B. Their customer service is also excellent.

Handsnotwands · 03/01/2020 23:06

Homebase often so a 3 for 2 on f&b

Or B&Q do f&b now, grab a pensioner and use their discount?

Johnstone’s do good colour matching but the price difference is fractional and not worth it unless you’re doing a whole house

as pp said, decorating centre online are the one to use. they do paint suitable for stairs and external. perfect f&b match.
