I have swapped £40 of tesco vouchers for £160 haven vouchers.
went to book the week camping and because we are using tesco vouchers we have to pay the full brochure price NOT the current internet price !
Online its !160 say but the brochure price is more than bouble that-so i will be no better off whatso ever.
Will i be able to swap them back to tesco vouchers so i can save them for something else.
Thanks in advance x

Probably not, but you could have phoned them to ask in the time it took to write that message!!

I don't know if they'll let you change back but I think you should complain to Tesco about Haven's attitude - other places don't change the prices to suit themselves, do they?

Wendy i agree-its really p**d me off tbh.
Csws-the internet is free ! Anyway its usually much nicer talking to some lovely people on mumsnet while i have my morninbg brew

Ah - have just had a look at the Clubcard page and the T&C state:

So Haven are allowed to do this. bum.

Tesco have a freephone number for Clubcard questions though:

0808 100 0707

give them a ring and ask about exchanging back

I have used my Tesco clubcard deals tokens on things other than that I origianlly bought them for ... we paid to go on a canal boat holiday with this this summer - and I used up some of the deals tokens I had got last year for general days out to pay for them ... nothing was said by the company!

Good luck!

They have to be used within 6 months, don't they? I suppose if fb's not sure she will use them in that time it'd be safer to change back if poss (the original Clubcard vouchers are good for 2 years, aren't they?)

Also, I looked at the page for ITC and that had a link "where else can I use this token?" - it was to the other ITC brands. The Haven page doesn't have that link and fb referred to them as Haven vouchers in her OP so they may be only for Haven.

Don't think you will get anywhere complaining to Tescos about Haven's pricing structure either - lots of companies associated with Tesco club card deals do this, several of the hotel chains certainly charge higher prices than you can see online if you are using vouchers. Not saying it's right btw, but Haven aren't the only ones who do it.

Oh good

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/08/2007 20:17

Oh that is good news fakeblonde. See, I said that phoning them was the answer .

I have sent several back over the last couple of years - I just convert a load into day out vouchers in the spring and send back what we haven't used in the autumn.
Has the added advantage that if your clubcard vouchers are getting near to expiry you can convert into deals then send the deals tokens back and they will credit your account with the points then issue new vouchers (with a further 2 year life) in the next mailing.
