The best Black Friday deals

AliceDMumsnet · 09/11/2018 15:13

Black Friday is the shopping event of the year, with huge sales from loads of brands giving savvy shoppers the chance to get their hands on some serious bargains in the run up to Christmas. This year, Black Friday falls on 23 November 2018 and after the success of last year’s live Black Friday thread, the Mumsnet shopping team will once again be here from dawn ‘til dusk on the day helping you find the very best online deals.

Feel free to post any great deals you come across in this thread. If you’re strapped for time, let us know what you’re looking for and we will try our best to source a deal for you.

This year, we’ve partnered with AO.com to bring Mumsnetters great Black Friday deals on tech, electricals and appliances both big and small. AO is an online electrical store who offer free delivery and returns - as well as next day delivery seven days a week. They also offer a fuss free recycling service for your old appliances. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite deals from AO, but if you find the same product for less elsewhere, just let AO know and they will match the price - even if you’ve already bought it. If the price of your Black Friday purchase drops any further AO will refund you the difference.

Quick reminder of how this works: we've selected these deals by scouring the web for bargains that we think MNers will love. We can’t guarantee that every single product has been at its 'pre-Black Friday price' for more than 30 days, but we only pull out offers that seem to us like genuinely good deals on products we know MNers rate.

We do get a small referral % if you happen to buy through these links and, if you post a fantastic offer but don't include a link, MNHQ may edit your post so that other users can easily find it.

These cosmetics posts sound a teeny bit like they might have been written by marketing people!

Shriek · 21/11/2018 23:47

Yes, completely like that, not a little bit.

It's alright when you go somewhere of your own choosing, and respond to others requests, but we're all so sick of being hammered on at by marketeers..they don't help themselves do they.

Shriek · 21/11/2018 23:49

I've never even heard of them, neither have DC and co

uglyandlovingit · 22/11/2018 05:34

Never heard of cid either, and I buy a lot of make-up...

user1483387154 · 22/11/2018 05:38

Thanks

BehemothPullsThePeasantsPlough · 22/11/2018 06:54

The tag teaming on spam is a new twist though. Had me fooled for, oooh, seconds more than a lone poster would have.

I reported another suspected spammer upthread but MNHQ have let them pass. Hmm

ajandjjmum · 22/11/2018 08:27

What a shame that a few idiots spoil a really useful thread!

Hope you can carry on with some (genuine) Black Friday info MN - and thanks.

Nicknamesalltaken · 22/11/2018 08:30

I only ever use that many exclamation marks when I’m marketing something on social media.

Debenhams have also discounted the L'Occitane Advent Calendar to £40.83 (was £49)

Thanks @WatcherOfTheNight for the tip.
