Boring thread but any advice gratefully received!
Bought a coat yesterday in the sale with 50% off plus an extra 10% this weekend only but changed my mind so returned to the shop. No refunds or credit notes but told I was only able to exchange it.
Found a dress and jacket I liked instead but too small and they told me they would need to transfer both from another store for next weekend.
Took both items away with me in the incorrect size, but have been told that when I exchange for the identical items in larger sizes next weekend I will need to pay the extra 10% as the promotion no longer stands.
Can that really be right? Surely the sale of goods act must protect against it?!
Any ideas?

They were under no legal obligation to offer any exchange.

Why would it?

You'll be returning (money back) and re buying (full price)
