Whipsnade zoo- any 2 for 1 or anything?

Its DDs birthday on Sunday and we are going to the zoo. Just trying to see if there's a 2 for 1 deal going on at all.

There's a hardly-known one in partnership with the local bus company. If you go by bus (X31 Centrebus) then you get 2-for-1 entry when you present your ticket. If you;re going by car, you can still get the offer but you have to buy a bus ticket to Whipsnade Zoo as well. The buses aren't at all frequent or on time so it can be a real faff, but if you are determined then either lie in wait for the bus at the bus stop by Sainsbury's in Dunstable or cut out the waiting around and buy a train ticket at Leagrave train station to Luton central and ask for a 'plus bus' to Whipsnade Zoo. The bus stop destination then appears on the train ticket and it saves the embarrassment of getting off the bus as soon as you've bought your ticket

You need one ticket per offer, so if there are 2 people you need 1 ticket; 4 people 2 tickets etc. You will also need one application form per ticket, which is downloadable from here. That link also gives details of the offer and the bus route and timetables.

Wow, I sound like a real cheapskate! It's one of my best secrets though.
