Was about to buy a gift subscription for DD1 for her birthday (New Scientist, so quite expensive) and thought I'd pop on here to find out if anybody has any bad experiences of them- they seem so much cheaper than buying them full-price that it's a bit alarming to click buy without checking first!

I've just checked the New Scientist website, and it's 50% off for students direct from their website. Is that comparable to the SSS?

Thanks Mrs Chemist- I tried to find the student rates on the NS site as well and utterly failed. SSS price is the same for a years' worth- £89 inc web access Might just go direct through NS- might be quicker.
