How does Quidco work?

Is it simple to join and are there any catches? Do you really get some money back on each purchase that you make?

yes you do get money back, through Paypal or straight into your bank! My problem is remembering to go to sites i want to buy from through the quidco site!

You might want to look at topcashback too - it works the same way but there's no fee to join.

I've earned £100s through quidco, recommend!

you don't get it for ages though, & sometimes it doesn't register, because of cookies or something.

You have to be really careful to go through the link on the cashback page. If you go & look, & then shut the page, & go back later to complete a transaction - even through the cashback page sometimes - it doesn't get logged.

You can make a lot, esp on things like insurance, but you have to be very patient & it really isn't guaranteed

Where you really earmarked the flashback is on contracts - car and house insurance, car breakdown (I got £40 back on a £69 policy - which I only upgraded to because of the cashback), my DP got back £100 on a new Sky subscription, I got £80 on a mobile phone contract.
The odd pence and pounds on online shopping mount up, but the contracts make it worth doing.

It depends on the retailer as to how quickly your money comes. I upgraded my phone in late July and had the money mid September. Songs have had over £580 in 18 months using quidco. Grin

Oh and if a purchase doesn't track jus use the "missing track" report form. I had to do this for a holiday we booked, took a couple of months but I got my money.

I've had £525 cashback using Quidco. You pay £5 membership (deducted from your first earnings) and then you keep everything else you earn. I can't think of any reason not to use it...especially if you would have been buying the stuff anyway.

Mobile phone contracts and insurance tend to to be the most lucrative earners. For example DP and I both changed our mobile contracts last year and got cashback of £240 plus £50 M&S vouchers using Quidco. Vouchers arrived within 1 month and the cashback was paid within 3.
