Has anyone ever joined the website Groupon, where a load of people buy the same discounted deal, for example 70% of beauty treatments? I just joined it looks pretty good, but when I was going to register a pop up box came on screen saying they were going to give me £120 free credit. I got rid of the box, has this happened to anyone else? Does this mean I just threw away £120 worth of discounts....I am suspicious of pop boxes ever since I got a virus last year on computer...

Yep I use them all the time. The pop-up box and £120 is about getting other people to join. For every person you get to join that subsequently buys an offer you get a credit (£5 I think??).

Be warned though that sometimes really, really popular offers are very difficult to get bookings for. (6 month waits for appointments for popular offers are normal).

They do however have some AMAZING offers and I just plan ahead.

Thanks....I felt really stupid as I thougght I'd made a mistake. I shouldv'e known that of course they wouldn't just give away £120! anyway glad i've joined looks good
