Sainsburies half price toy sale??

Anyone know if it starts tomorrow or Thursday? I had heard tomorrow and was planning a trip but now the rumours are that it's Thursday...

I've been waiting to hear about this but didn't know it was this week -thanks!

Money Saving Expert said Wed weeks ago so I had my day planned but they're now saying Thursday which doesn't suit - aaaaargh!

I might have to stay up till midnight and check the website!

phoned 2 different stores and it seems it's Thursday.

Is the sale on line too?

well apparently it will be beepbeep but who knows what you can believe that you read online! they say it sells out v fast online and that not everything online's reduced.

Did I say Nov?! I was under impression it was tomorrow and had planned my day accordingly incl a playdate for dd1 post nursery as 11.45 pick up is hopeless.

AND I CAN'T DO IT ON THURSDAY so i'm not happy. Oh well at least I found out now and not when I got there tomorrow (about an hour's drive!). I will attempt midnight online tomorrow so sssshhhhhh we need to stop mentioning it! And if that doesn't work i'll be there at 8am as our local store opens.

(i'm after bigger sets of lego atlantis for ds and our local doesn't stock so was going to venture to a bigger store...the lengths I go for a bargain...!)

There's another thread that seems to be saying it's already started, but when you go to the site there are just a handful of things with 1/3 off.

Netmums (not that I frequent them you understand ) are saying there isn't going to be one.

I'm going to take Tassis' word for it and get up at schtoopid o'clock tomorrow!

Last year I logged in at 7am on the day it started and virtually everything had gone.

I wrote an email complaining about lack of stock and received no reply!

As a Sainsbury's wife I can confirm it is Thursday....
Other half just leaving now to put out pallet loads of toys in preparation.
Get there early it was carnage last year :-)

Also if I add things to my basket beforehand will they automatically change to half price if I checkout after midnight or will I have to do it again?

What kind of things are in it? Playmobil and lego included?

Everything is included but you need to get in quick!

When i asked in store in Monday (after a heads up on here) they told me 7am Thursday.

unfortunately most of the stuff in my basket isn't stocked in my local store (sob)

It appears to be half price on selected toys.

Yeah only about 8 toys and they're all only 1/3 off...

On MSE it suggests that there are limited online reductions and that you need to go to a store to get the best bargains. But early!

I can forget that then - toy selection in our local store is minute.

maggie, i'm going to hold out for phoning john lewis and seeing if they'll price match...might work...

6.27 in the UK now, (I'm not! ) and it's still showing about 5 things at 1/3 and although there is a banner on the website proclaiming half price,it does say "on selected" and there's about 6 things.

So either it's going to be updated to everything later....or it's a bit rubbish.

It's got some toys on there now, but bit pants!
