Cranleigh School (Sixth Form)

Hi. Does anyone have any recent experience of Cranleigh School Sixth Form? Also has anyone moved their teenager to a different sixth form to start in year 13?
We have checked that the same exam boards and subjects match and realise it’s still a big upheaval and not ideal timing. Just trying to find what’s the best option for our DD to get the best support for her A levels and Cranleigh School Sixth Form seems to tick a lot of boxes, but would appreciate the thoughts of any parents who have experienced Cranleigh Sixth Form and how it supports its students.

How it goes will depend on lots of factors so it isn’t just about researching school website. You’ll need to factor in why is the move happening and how willing a school is to support it and support with integration. It’s a very unusual move. Can you absolutely not make it work where your child is at present? Cranleigh is a great school but I can’t imagine easy to slot into in yr 13. Would resitting yr 12 give a better overall experience if there are pastoral reasons for the move?

Will Cranleigh even take her for year 13 only? I imagine that’s a huge catch up ask even if exam boards match (teaching topics in different order, say)

Cranleigh is an amazing school.
I really like its community and unpretentious atmosphere.
I imagine it must be a serious reason to move in Year 13 and I would think that Cranleigh teaching would be able to support you.
if you are able to move after half term I’d move then as have the Summer to work on anything missed, with a tutor if needed.

Heard they're having to drop their day fees by 12k too, so will be cheaper!
