UCS or City?

Which of these two schools are the better choice for 11+ entry? We are pretty much equidistant between the two in terms of travel time and DS will be travelling independently. City seems to score better in league tables? But I've heard UCS has a kinder ethos? Any thoughts welcome please, thank you :-)

I believe City is academically better. Also more diverse group of students/wealth

City is better by far.

Both our DC went to City. We liked it because it’s much more diverse than some of the other London independents, with a high number of pupils on bursaries. The staff were excellent in responding to a mental health issue too and they crack down very hard on bullying or anything unkind. Lots of parents are in professions and media rather than banking or similar. We did tours at UCS, thought it felt a bit more “snobby”, slightly more old fashioned but that may be our confirmation bias!

@Callaghen why?
