Has anyone had experience with the reserve list at Highgate? We received an email said they put him on short reserve list and asking whether, if we are offered a place, we would accept it immediately or choose another school instead. We have also applied for a bursary.

I understand the reserve list at Highgate is quite short, so if you want a place you may well receive one. Give it about a week maybe and then check in.

Yep - reserve list a couple of years ago and DC was offered a place about 4 days before the deadline for responding. They held us to the same deadline as people who’d received offers on offer day.There was an invite to an evening event in late Feb which was pretty much an offer holders evening, although DC was still on the waiting list.

Whilst on the waiting list, I did reach out with a few questions and they didn’t provide any information about where we were or how likely a place was to come up. Even if you don’t get a place, there are quite a lot of occasional places that come up, as at all London schools. Lots of relocating going on just now.

Thank you so much. Mine cried yesterday because he thought he came second around in music and the Head of Music had promised him something. He was really looking forward to it.
