Cheltenham College Prep

I am looking to move my DD to Cheltenham College in Sept, going into Year 5. I am in a real dilemma as DD loves her current school but for me it just doesn't deliver.
Has anyone got children in the Prep School at CC? What are your thoughts in general. I am especially interesting in the sports and music.
If we do move it would be a commute for a period of time and not sure if we can make the long day work.

I have looked at others in Cheltenham, but feel CC was better on the sports, and academic side.

Any thoughts or advice is welcome as it is such a big decision and worried we make the wrong one.

In what way does her current school not deliver? Happiness at school is crucial IMO.

I'd keep her where she is for the next couple of years and get tutors/clubs etc for music and sport.

I know most pupils from the prep go on to the senior school so have you had anything thoughts about that? My son is Y5 at a different prep; we recently went to a CC senior school open day and loved it so we’ll certainly be applying for Y9.

My son went to CC senior and a lot of his house were from the prep school. They all had good things to say about their time there he was at Beaudesert and I would say very similar vibe he’s 22 now

I assume he manage to fit in well considering he didn’t go to the prep?
I could wait until Senior to move but feel it would be better she moved beforehand to make friends and get settled.

@Dragon76 no problem atall Beaudesert feeds to CC a lot and I’ve never heard of any problems integrating

I would opt for Cheltenham College for prep and then move her to Cheltenham Ladies' for Year 7 onwards.
