If your child is in Y4 in a prep, please could you share how much homework is given?

About an hour of written work a week (math and reading comp), plus additional spelling and times table practice done daily

5-10 mins of maths each night Monday-Thursday, 5 mins of spelling/handwriting each of those nights too. Then project based work, which they get a good few weeks to work on whenever suits, once a term. Not loads but the theory is to get used to doing a little something each week night then they get longer subject work set in Y5, but actually it feels like they get less work in Y5 as often teachers don’t set it. But I’m not complaining- I don’t really like homework and only do it because we have to! (Obvs reading is also still expected at this age and we record it in homework diary)
