I have never posted on her before, but having read about what happened at the school this week I feel compelled to say something. Sadly, we had to remove our daughter after less than a term at the school. We had various issues but the biggest one was the mishandling of bullying at the school under the new head mistress. She / they have a " nothing to see here” approach and we are still fighting with them to address the particular child who has not only bullied our daughter but who had also bullied other girls at school. Want to see if anyone else has had a similar experience to us. Our daughter was a shadow of herself. Not eating. shutting herself away and the final straw was when she told me that she felt depressed at the age of 11. 🥹 A very sad time for both us and her. She is now back at her old school and back to her old self. Please do send me a message privately if you've had a similar experience.

Are you saying that the tragedy that happened this past week was due to bullying?

I don't know why the tragedy happened but what I do know is that bullying is tolerated at the school. We are not the only parents that feel that way but they have lied to each of us insisted that the incident is isolated and they have had no other concerns regarding the student. Safeguarding should be at the heart of every school it it just affected me so badly ready such sad news I felt had to say something but I am not implying it's bullying or it's the schools fault. In time we will find out what happened but my heart goes out to her family.
