Bute House reception waitlist expectation

If your little one is on Bute House waitlist for reception, how would you form your expectation ?

• 24 places on main list
• 6 places on waitlist, don't know the rank
• assume uniform distribution, base case [3,4], worst case [5,6]
• 16% and 25% drop rate to reach the reserved spot, respectively

Given it is by ballot and presumably some people register without much thoughts (logistics etc), is it fair to assume its historical drop rate to be relatively high? However, the offer will be formally made in May and deposit must be paid then, prior to other prep assessments at end of year, so presumably some families will secure the offer first.

What do you think.

Is there only 30 applicants, or did they cap the waitlist at 6, with the rest not being given offers?

Curious, why you are asking about the waitlist when you said in another post your dd got admitted to Bute, Glendower and another?

Yes @SamPoodle123 they had said they got multiple top offers before 4+ assessments even happened this month in another post due to being involved in the council 😂

I think really think anything they post is another joke post or trying the gauge information that they want from others

@Zootpia 😂Did the poster think people would not notice? I find it so odd, why lie about your dc having all these offers before assessments even happened? And claiming to have a spot at Bute, when in another post writing about being on the waitlist (and now again asking about the Bute waitlist). Odd!

in fact, I don't even have a child. I also don't live in England.
