The Hall 4+

Does anyone have experience of the 4+ assessments at The Hall? I've read that in the past they have used a bespoke assessment from the British Psychological Society to help build a picture of the boys' imagination, creativity and communication and thinking. Has anyone heard similar, or have knowledge on what comes up in the assessment? TIA!

That’s new to me - if true!!! - and both my DS went there. May have changed, but when my DS got in, they had small groups of boys (maybe 6 or so?) and mainly just watched them play and interact with each other doing things like building a brio track, chatted to them, and read them a story and asked them some questions about it. Gave them a snack too. They did ask if they could find their own name on a sheet of name tags as they went in, but my older DS didn’t as they had written the name tag with the nickname he liked to be called by whereas his nursery had taught him to read and write his name in full (eg they wrote Danny he was looking for Daniel). He got in regardless, I think mainly because he played well with one of the other boys there and they both came out very happy.

Very happy with the school, BTW, especially the “junior” school, ie reception to year 3.

Thanks, for the info. The info about the bespoke test was quite old info, so I was wondering if it was true/still in place. Glad you love the school!! Thanks again.
