Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of Birkdale senior school now there is a new headteacher? Experiences either good or bad be welcomed. We are looking for boys rather than girls but understand it is now mixed.

I was at Mercia today and I was shocked and horrified. Robotic. A child told me she hated it. The oldest teacher I saw was early to mid 30s. They are churning out robots from a sausage factory. Arms on table, look this way whilst so and so gives their Appreciation. Pupils delilver an address in a staccato sharp fast format and everyone has to give a short sharp two claps at the end of it. All completely false. One child was told in front of the whole year that she was not loud and proud enough. Nobody is an individual. It's an exam factory.
