I'm curious if any prep is needed for group activities, interviews, especially given their young age. Any past experience or thoughts are appreciated.

Hi,

My understanding is that there isn't much you can do to prepare aside from maybe just explaining to them what will happen on the day and that they should try to smile and make eye contact etc. I think the teachers know what they're looking for and the kids just need to be themselves. If they're the right fit, they'll get selected. Hope I'm not being naive! What schools are you applying to?

Allyens and JAGs. Are you doing any this year? I agree it seems nothing to prepare... but curious how it works. I know a couple of girls who have done well for first round but were not offered a place at the end.

We are also doing JAGS! I have two daughters, conveniently spaced apart in age, so applying for both 7+ and 11+ entry for them! It's comparatively easy to know how to best prepare the older one, but the younger one I think just has to be herself and (and obviously mind her ps and qs on the day!). I think that, if it's a school environment she'll be suited to, then the teachers will be able to spot that on the day. At least I hope so! Good luck for it all!

Thanks best of luck!
