Blackheath Prep vs. Blackheath high

Hi all,

Our DD has secured admission for 3+ entry at both the schools. We have opted for Sep-26 entry even though she is Sep born. Blackheath prep is offering us Jan-26 entry (even though we applied for Sep-26 entry) but Blackheath high has offered us Sep-26 entry. Logistically Sep-26 works the best for us. There are some pros and cons to both schools from our research (BH feels smaller and lacks space compared to BP’s nice grounds/optics, BH is all-through and probably spares the 11+ rush but could be a disadvantage as well being less competitive etc.). We are neutral in terms of single-sex or mixed.

We are not from the UK originally and we have not been through the private school system here. But we are keen to listen to informed opinions, especially in relation to any management/structural change etc. that either of them has gone through in recent years. Please share your thoughts as to how you would choose between these two.

Thank you very much!

Hi OP! Did you decide? We want all-through girls school so we are also considering Blackheath and also City school.
Which one you went in the end?
