Bloxham or St Edward’s Oxford

I’m thinking of both these schools for DS. Teddies looks amazing but it’s so expensive. Bloxham looks less amazing but it’s half the price: can it really be only half as good? I’d love to know if anyone has experience of either.

OMG they are leagues apart in every sense of the word. You get what you pay for. Apply for a bursary for Teddies or depending on stage your child is at do 2 years in state then move to Teddies in Year 9 to save abit. It’s a school that is expensive but worth every extra penny.

I absolutely loved Bloxham when I visited. It is very different from Teddies. It is know for its pastoral care, its caring environment, its flexibility in supporting its students' individual goals. It is located far from everything but its little village.

Teddies is more of a strong all 'rounder school: good academics, good sports, good music. Being in Oxford can be a wonderful bonus or a drawback, depending on your child.

Very different academic entry requirements too
