St George’s Weybridge Surrey ?

i am looking at this school for my son to join in year 7.
we’ve seen all the local schools, Hampton, Reeds, RGS, Claremont etc but St George’s seems to be a really good fit for him.

would any current or perspective parents mind sharing their views? I know the current head is leaving to move over to Effingham trust too, not sure how much that will impact.

my son is a strong all rounder (but not a genius!) and loves all sports. Plays regular Tier 1 cricket and football, athletics, swimming. Will give anything a go.

he is currently year 6 at a local state school and has ADHD. Most of his friends will be moving to the local secondary school which is fine, but not great.

we are trying to weigh up the benefits of him going to St George’s for £30k+ a year, V’s staying in the state system.

interested to hear if anyone else is in the same boat!

You need to get an offer first! Do you have a tutor who is advising you? It’s a very long process which you need to go into with an open mind and a range of schools to consider.

Yes he has a tutor, and he would probably get in.

If he loves sport then St George’s would be great, it has fantastic facilities
