Mouth guards and braces?

Hello,
DD has recently been fitted with braces. Will we need to get a new mouth guard every-time she has them adjusted or will the mouth guards designed for braces somehow adjust?
Her school wants children to wear either OPRO or TITAN brands. Thanks!

You can get Opro ones designed for braces - you mould them yourself by putting them in hot water, so you can just remould them when the braces are adjusted. Your orthodontist may sell them, ours did, otherwise you can get them online.

That said, unless your DD is much better at biting into them than DS was, you'll probably find they're not that tight anyway, so you don't need to immediately remould every time the brace is tightened.

And then once the treatment is finished, definitely worth speaking to your dentist/orthodontist about getting one properly fitted - if you've invested a lot of time/effort/money in getting good teeth, it's worth protecting them!
