Can anyone kindly shed any light/reviews on Brambleyte based Near East Grinsted?

Culture of the school? Is it pushy? Competitive? or relaxed?

We have a bright, sensitive boy but doesn’t do well with any pressure!

Likes having a few close friends only, not massively social. Needs more confidence and encouragement in this area - currently loves child led play, maths, reading, writing and creative imagination.

Has had non supportive teachers and environments that don’t stimulate much.

He likes to be left to figure things out but does need guidance (in a non pushy way)..

Really looking for nurturing and growing the full child! Not just academics or sports. That’s not
what I wish to pay for here.. it’s the overall environment and atmosphere..

Thank you!

My boys went there but twenty years ago, so not sure how relevant you might feel this is now. They were very happy at the school and I felt it was a very nurturing environment for pupils of a wide range of abilities and aptitudes. There was a very strong family atmosphere with good pastoral care, and a wide range of activities in addition to the academic side. The setting is beautiful too, and the children had lots of opportunities for outdoor play and sports. I felt the children developed a very well-rounded education in the broadest of senses, and left there confident, and ready to move on to their senior schools.

My boys (and I) have very fond memories of their time there and I felt it gave them a really strong foundation for the young men they’ve become now. I’m very happy my boys went there and I’d recommend you visit and see for yourself whether you feel it would suit your son.
