Hello,

My daughter is 3 and we are hoping for her to go to GHS Guildford. She has the assessment in November. Does anyone know what this involves? She's young for her year group.
Thanks

Hi @Bumblebeese I stumbled across you post and saw you hadn't had a reply! There's lots of other threads about 4+ and I've commented in them today, but essentially, the 4+ assessments are roughly the same in all the schools as there's only so much you can ask a 3yr old. I was, until recently, a 4+ assessor at my school, so I do have a good idea of what is involved. I'm happy for you to send a PM to ask more if you're still looking for some answers! 😀

I haven’t had children go through the process but friends have.

They have a stay and play. The children attend various sessions such as an arts and craft morning with year 5 or 6 helpers which is observed by staff.

There may be more but I’m not the most in the know I’m afraid.

From what I can tell, the children who are successful have good verbal skills. Their speech is well developed and the children can talk well to adults and strangers. This seems to be one of the key criteria.

good luck
