Advice for King’s Worcester School

Hi everyone!
We live in Malvern. We went to the King’s Worcester Open Day yesterday — my DS is currently in Year 7 at The Chase (Malvern), doing fairly well academically. He really loved the environment at King’s, especially since he’s very into cricket and sports.

We were originally thinking about applying for Year 9, but now he’s quite keen to join in Year 8 instead. I know there’s a new head starting this September, and dunno whether he’s good or not. Is it better to start from Y8 instead of Y9?

We’ve also looked into Malvern College, but the fees are a bit out of our range. RHS sounds quite academic and intense, which might not suit him as much.

Does anyone have any insight on teacher turnover at King’s Worcester? Is the staff team generally stable? Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks 😊

What did you decide? Ours are at RGS and love it and are thriving having been transferred mid way from a state school. Really supportive.

We have finally moved to King’s. Everything is going well, and my son loves the school very much. He just needs to adapt to having a few tests every week and more homework than at his previous state school.
