Does your Prep teach reading musical notes?

In the weekly group lesson, does your prep teach how to read musical notes?

I'm asking because been hearing different things from different schools. Certainly individual lessons should involve reading musical notes, but I find that rather cost-ineffective to do in private lessons.

Yes, ours did weekly recorder lessons and were taught to read music from Y3 onwards.

My kids aren’t taught this in each of their schools, no.

Yes, our prep did whole class recorder lessons in Y3 I think. About 2/3 of children also had private instrumental lessons.
