What is happening at Bryanston Prep?

Does anyone know what is happening at Bryanston Prep School? It seems to be losing teachers at an alarming rate. Should we be concerned?

Are you a current parent? Have you contacted the Head to ask?

Just spoke to friend who is local and says numbers are low - maybe teachers are worried about its future? Or like in many prep schools there may be redundancies on the cards.

just reading your posts above. We are a new family joining Bryanston prep with our three children. They will start Y6/Y4/Y1. we would really like to get in touch with any families at the school so make some play dates over the summer. Please to reach out and connect.

Getting about worried about your posts and teachers leaving… would love any insight.

Ten teachers are leaving this school year. This is not providing continuity of education to our children. I am really surprised that this hasn’t led to action by the board of governors to address why the teachers are unhappy. The board of governors should make a statement to explain how they are addressing this exodus of talent. Several of the teachers have resigned without jobs to go to. The teachers who are going are really good teachers. Are they being replaced by teachers of a similar calibre?

what year group are your children in? Are the all the 10teachers leaving from the prep or from the whole school? Have you discussed this with anyone at the school.

What did you decide @Sgl123? Did your kids start at the prep?

I have to be careful what I write here ... my kids were at another prep school in Dorset when another couple, with a position at Canford, were promoted to - can I say, the first family at Bryanston.
This is going to have consequences.

It was fab as Knighton House. Such a shame they sold to Bryanston, resulting in drastic downgrading in terms of quality. Lost its heart and soul, thereafter. Not sure what the current situation is there now.
