Arnold House vs Hall/UCS

Hello, we have a spot at Arnold House but are a bit hesitant as The Hall/USC are nearby as well. Latter start at age 4 vs 3 at AH.

Is there anything that Arnold House offer that the other schools don’t? Worst case we don’t take up the AH spot and won’t get into The Hall and UCS.

Thank you

Not much in it vs hall I reckon. UCS is obvs til 18. Go with your gut - some kids end up with lots of offers at 4+. Others with zero. The north London pot luck.

Just do what everyone does and take Arnold house but try to switch to the hall at 4+ !!!

We rather keep our little one in the current pre-prep until 4, instead of moving to AH and potentially Hall after that. Why is everyone trying Hall over AH?

because people are over ambitious for no reason. AH is an excellent school and better for many kids than the hall

DS went to Arnold House some years ago, he’s at senior school now. We loved it. So cosy and personal with excellent teaching and outcomes. The families I knew who went for the Hall were different. Pushier. Not the same vibe at all.

Arnold House is an excellent school based on their destination schools. You have received a second round offer which goes to show it is already competitive at 3+. As a PP said, 4+ is a bit of a lottery.

Based on offers and applicants, UCS is like 1 in 12. The Hall used to be around 1 in 3 or 4, but that will be worse as they are now accepting registrations up to two years before birth (used to be one year).

*after birth (not before)
