Chiswick Schools

Can anyone offer any advice on Chiswick schools? There seem to be some really good state schools as well as the private route, Orchard House, Ravenscourt Park and Heathfield House. Grateful for anyone with children at any of the above and your thoughts, good and bad!

We live in the Grove Park area of Chiswick by the river, our kids go to Kew green prep school just across the bridge in Kew, it’s the sister school of Ravenscourt Park, and quite a few families from Chiswick go there. We are happy with it. The state schools near us are outstanding - we have Strand on the Green school and Grove Park school nearby. We looked at Orchard House although it was a few years ago it was very hard to get in- after giving sibling priorities there was only 1 space in Reception that was free. They have recently taken over the Chiswick and Bedford Park school site and have a lot of investment planned.
We didn’t consider Heathfield House as the junior years building is right by the M4 and we didn’t like the proximity.

Thank you Mightyoat that's really helpful. It seems all of these schools now have places so we're slightly spoilt for choice. We are closer to Turnham Green tube than Kew so Orchard House would be the obvious choice. My son went there many moons ago (we have an unexpectedly big gap between children!) but I know there have been several changes of head and a merger since then.... We are also considering state options as fees are now so astronomical but its difficult having sent DS the private route..... decisions decisions!
