We have one DS and one DD, trying to establish where brothers of girls going to Putney high go. DS is older. Thank you!

DS in St Pauls and DD in Putney is a common combination I observed.

I know girls at Putney with brothers at all sorts of schools. Kings, St Paul's, Hampton, Emanuel, KGS, Tiffin, Dulwich, LU, Boarding schools etc etc. No particular school really stands out.

Rokeby until 13 is quite common

Surely depends on the brother? Do you mean which school for boys is an equivalent?

Boysandalab · 30/01/2025 15:37

Sorry everyone perhaps I wasn’t clear. I was referring to PH for prep school and was wondering if typically there was a school that the brothers tended to go to nearby. Thank you!

Of course however often there is a co-ed or boys school that brothers of pupils at a girls a school will attend if parents prefer single sex for their daughters. E.g. many friends with both genders will choose Thomas’s Fulham for their sons and Ken Prep for their girls. Thank you!

@Boysandalab my observation is more on the junior school side, it just works out for many families with young DCs, due to the proximity between Barnes and Putney.

Merlin is pre prep and is around the corner

Don't try and drive between Putney and Barnes- will take you hours...

Hurlingham Prep and Prospect House are both Putney Prep schools that go to 11

jeanne16 · 31/01/2025 13:57

Rokeby operates a school bus from Putney.

Sorry I was assuming secondary. Hurlingham? Merlin is awful, in my opinion.

Legoninjago1 · 04/02/2025 13:34

Tower House worth a look too, but it depends what you want for senior - if you want 11+ entry then Hurlingham and Prospect House probably. For 13+ Tower House, Rokeby and maybe Shrewsbury House.

Bringonchristmas36 · 02/03/2025 22:26

do you want an 11+ or 13+ if you want 11+ then Prospecthouse or hurlingham. Do not go to a 13+ plus if you have any indication that you’ll change at 11
