Scholarship shortlist advice

My DC has been shortlisted and invited to an art scholarship assessment day at an academically competitive indie. I'm really hoping this means she's performed well enough in the entrance exam to at least be offered a non-scholarship place, does anyone have experience of this?

First of all, well done. From experience, I always advise people to apply for scholarships if appropriate. It means at the final consideration they have more information about the child. I would say that if she has been invited for this day she is a strong contender. Good luck.
