D'overbroecks in 6th form?

Hello! My son is in year 10 at St Edward's Oxford , he's been there for a year and is finding it alright however he has shown a keen interest ad D'overbroecks for 6th form as we are planning on moving to Oxford so he would become Day.

He is very creative and, while strong in academics generally, prefers the arts. I have taken note of D'overbroecks' large options for A levels and would love any advice in general about the school.

Thanks!

D'Overbrooks is a very popular destination for children who don't stay on for 6th form at my children's (local-ish private) school. It has an excellent reputation, but seems to suit students who like a relatively unstructured environment. I would consider it for mine at that time.

It’s great for independent learners who want more of a Uni vibe & the day finishes early & not much extra curriculum on offer. Take note of class sizes & compare with Cherwell.

A good friend had his two sons there and said it was fabulous. Popular choice for some of my DD15 friends for sixth form as a lot of them will grade of the Headington hothouse after the merger with Rye. (Rye wasn't academic and Headington is)
