Moving school 2 children different ages

Hi we are thinking of moving our 8 year old next year to a near school and also our 4 year old.

What is the best way of applying as we dont want one child to get a place at the new school and there to be no room for the other child meaning we have to travel to two different schools.

Is there a way of applying jointly or what is the best way of doing it please?

If one child gets a place that would mean the other will be higher on the waiting list if siblings are an admission criteria. Otherwise it’s a case of ringing round schools to find one with 2 spaces in the correct year groups.

No joint application unfortunately
You need to make 2 applications and hope there are places for both or check with each school before applying and if not is there a wait list/how big a wait list
It is true though that if one child gets a place it pushes you up any wait list

If it is a private school they may flex class sizes to accept siblings, even if technically full. Just give the school a ring and ask the process.

I just spotted that this is in Private schools.
Just speak to the school and see if they have space
