Morning All,

Long time member but been off MN for a while. Very pleased to see we finally have a private school chat!

Are there any parents / ex parents on here who can tell me about Stephen Perse? Loved the vibe at the open day but a bit nervous that it might be quite faddy there. I know they're thinking of dropping the diamond structure for example.

Am I concerned over nothing? I'm just looking for consistency as our current prep hasn't been great for this.

SP has poor senior leadership, communication and pastoral care currently. I would go back and view again before making a decision. They already phased out the diamond model AFAIK as from the September 2022 Year 7 intake.

It really depends what you're looking for. Their extracurricular clubs are better these days and there's more choice but they lack the space that other private schools have. If you're interested in results, they ranked 4th in A level results 2024 after the Perse, The Leys and St. Mary's.

It might be worth posting on the local Cambridge boards to more opnions.
