What kind of labels do you recommend?

My son is starting school this summer and I am totally perplexed with everything that needs labelled and all the different types of labels available. Can anyone give me advice on what to get and where?

Personally I often cut labels off from my childrens' tops because they irritate their skin. I also do not like them havin gon my clothes at the back. I like t-shirts, tops with ironed or printed-in labels or at least those attached somewhere on the side.
But how about these ones, the attach a tag? Do not they irritate the skin? Will a young child as 4-year-old find his/her t-shirt quickly enough?

Save your money. Just write their names on the inside with permenant marker.

Pretty much everything can be names iwht a permenant marker, clothes, shoes, lunchboxes, water bottles etc etc

Octavia09 I put the attach a tag down the side of the garments and my kids (who moan about everything!) have said nothing about them, I informed the teacher of what they should look for if the boys ever lost their clothes. It's a small button but I think the kids like it because it's different. My youngest who is 6 has no problem with it, and as I said I'm buying some for the one due in Jan when it comes!

Do any of you put a contact phone number on your labels/tags?
