Following my 'where to live in MANCHESTER thread' please tell me about primary schools in SALE

The deal has been done and it looks like we are moving to Sale. Ofsted reports look good, schools look like they achieve above the national average.

Please share with me your opinions, experiences and views on the local state primary schools.

Any to be avoided?

Of course, there aren't any places at any of them for all my children, but that's another thread for another day...

Thank you

No problem.
Re sec schools: St Patrick and ambrose barlow are excellent catholic schools and accept some non Catholics.
Wentworth and moorside are local high schools. Moorside has good head and in process of new build.
Many local children go to trafford grammars and private schools.

Well although I'm not catholic Dh is and our LO was baptized Catholic so that could be an option....when you say Trafford grammars do you mean like Urmston and Stretford?

hectorthestandbyhawk · 13/07/2012 17:14

Yes - urmston, stretford, sale and altrincham
excellent dp is catholic-you'd probably also need proof of church attendance. The head of st pats has been honoured by queen and has excellent ofsted.
