Children are allowed out to play if its wet if they have wellies and raincoats. If they don't have them they have to stay in.

Not just yet
But I think they are trying to get a box of spare wellies together for the future.

We have to send in a pair of wellies every September to be kept by school on their premises for the whole winter. But I think they only use them when it is p*ing down or when they go the the forest classroom, not for every breaktime.

no

overmydeadbody · 06/10/2009 12:38

StillSquiffy we have to do that too. And the children have to wear them during lunchbreak if it is at all wet or muddy. I guess it's a good thing considering their playground is just grass and mudd.

We have to send wellies in for wet playtimes. However apparently, despite it tipping down all yesterday and today, they "don't need them" till after half term. Work that one out...!

No.

bradsmissus · 06/10/2009 13:39

Yes but the school has enough wellies for them all. My DS is loving plying out in the rain!

Ixia · 06/10/2009 13:42

Yes, they have to have a pair of wellies in school all the time and a waterproof coat. They have access to the playground most of the day whatever the weather.

JoeJoe1977 · 06/10/2009 13:44

They need wellies, waterproof coat and waterproof trouser that need to stay in school. Not so much for playtime, but they go out tramping in the school fields as part of their lessons. DS1 was very excited last week that he'd been drawing the letter a in the mud with a stick!
