Is DDs school the only one in the whole country....

...not to break up tomorrow. Everyone is talking about finishing tomorrow, we have another week to go.
Is it just us?
If you finish tomorrow, what date do you go back?

ds's school ends on Tues - thanks to adding two inset and one occasional day onto half term.

My school (am a teacher) finished yesterday. Other schools in the county finish next Monday or Tuesday.

Everyone - them and us - go back on Thursday 3rd Sepember. The Wednesday is a staff inset day - but in my school we will be in on the Tuesday too. This accounts for 2 of our 5 inset days (Tues and Weds) and then we do twilight sessions - about 1 per month - to get the rest of the INSET tie covered.

My school (I am a teacher too) doesn't break up until next Friday. Teachers are back on 1st September and kids on 3rd.

we were meant to break up next tuesday but school realised they should have given us 3 incept days during the year. so break up tomorrow and go back monday 7th.

I presume the poster means inset days although given that these are for teacher training I can't understand how the school have reached the end of the academic year without realising that they haven't used the proper quota. The staff training plan should have identified where the inset days were going to be and what training was going to be provided and it would normally all have been booked ages ago. Very odd.

5 weeks and 6 days here. Break up Friday 24th July and go back Thursday 3rd September.

Dad's school breaks up tomorrow (17th July) and goes back 7th September so they have 7 weeks and 3 days.
