I can't stand this....I feel sick

Having not got our first choice for DD1, although we are happy with her school, we've gone for our first choice for the DTs just in case there's a dramatic decrease in the number of siblings this year .

I deliberately did our application on-line so I could check at 9am rather than having a nail-biting wait for the postman. Then forgot the date and have a meeting tomorrow at 9 at DD1's school, so won't be able to check anyway!

Got m email at 4.19 not our first choice but our 2nd (and tbh we thought we had no chance of getting) the school dd1 has will suit her so much better as a bigger school than 1st choice. However just looked at uniform list and its going to cost me a fortune

That's along time to wait, I think we had ours in February.

grrrr thought I'd order some of her uniform ready and M&S are out of stock of red cardigans and the right size trousers (although dd1 just informed me that she only wants to wear skirts/pinafores!!)

Phoned the school up as we hadnt looked at this one as didnt think we had a chance of getting in and secretar was lovely, told me all the dates for open evening (we're on holiday but she said that I could make a morning appointment and she'd run through it all with me ) told me what dates her trial sessions are on and sending me a logo uniform list so I cna pick what I need and then she'll sort it for me (as we cant make the open evening whicxh is when ou'd normally get it) I love this school as they sound so organised.

We got our preferred school this year for DD - so now DS goes to the top of the list for a place (as a sibling) - fingers crossed!

Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted and good luck to those aappealing/waiting. Having been through the latter bit last year, although unsuccessfully, I can empathise......
