I was considering The Witches as I have a costume from Halloween, but have remembered that The Witches don't look like a normal witch! So that is out.

World Book Day is this week and on Friday everyone (pupils and staff) has to go to school dressed as a Roald Dahl character.

What on earth can I wear bearing in mind I don;t want to go spending lots of money and have limited time available between now and then.

Please help!

I have to go in my PJs the week after Why did I think going into primary schools would be a good thing?

If you've got a space hopper, you could cover it in paper mache to make a giant peach...?

How about the gum-chewing girl from Charlie and the Chocolate factory? (Violet Beauregard?) Blue tracksuit, blue facepaint, packet of chewing gum, job done.

Might be a bit late in the day - but how about dressing head to toe in bright green and going as a snozzcumber (staple food of the BFG!)

am most amused. Just googled easy Roald Dahl costumes as DD needs one for tomorrow, found this thread and have decided to take my own advice for Hula from a couple of years ago from up the thread!
