What are your Y4 children's favourite songs at the moment??

My sister is a Y4 teacher and has got to teach them about verses, bridges and the chorus in a song. What songs would your Y4 child like to learn about (and also what would you be happy for them to hear at school). I suggested Rihanna's Shut up and drive but she thinks some parents might not be happy about that.

My son's favourite at the moment is 'Shine' by Take That (I think that's what it's called). Don't know what it's like technically, but definitely nothing in the lyrics that might upset parents [wink[]

I also suggested HSM but I suppose a lot of the boy's wouldn't like that sort of thing?

'Just Dance' - lady gaga, and rhianna 'shut up and drive', also stuff from oooh, whatsit called - yes Camp Rock - tune called play my music which might be more suitable .
Having said that, this age group are dancing to all of these in my next dance school show

although I think both of my Ds's Yr7 and Yr4 have completely different tastes to others in their years.... think of The Who, The Clash, Fleetwood Mac!

In a school at that age you would need to be very careful about the lyrics.

Mamma Mia is very popular at the moment. I've just done a party where we used We Will Rock You which the boys like. Nickelback Rockstar is not really suitable.
