Can anyone tell me about the junior (prep) departments of Stockport Grammar, Cheadle or Kings.

We're looking towards secondary and considering moving the DCs to the junior department of whichever of these schools we decide upon.
Any experience of any of the three of them would be helpful.
I've read the inspection reports but they barely touch on the junior departments.

Cheadle Hulme is not as academic as Stockport. Stockport appears to be flying up the secondary tables and their junior school is highly thought of. I know someone who has recentley put her children into the junior school at Stockport and is very happy and kids are excelling. Sorry don't know anything Kings. I would go and look at the juniors and see what you think.

I'd agree that stockport has more of an academic reputation but it depends what you're looking for. CH probably more rounded. Kings also has a good academic reputation.

My older 2 are at a prep nearby which prepares children for all 3.
