Can you tell me what time your child starts school, what time he/she has breaktime and lunch and what time they finish?

DS's school has changed the timing of things and I am not that pleased about it:
The start and finish times remain the same (9am - 3.30pm) but they now have:

Breaktime (or Morning tea as they call it here) at 11am - 11.30
Lunch at 1.30pm

With a 'fruit break' at 10am and 12.30.

Not sure about this at all.

Do they need to eat every hour? We've been asked to send in more food for Morning Tea as Lunchtime is now an hour later than before.

Thoughts?

DS in reception.

8.50 Doors open
9.00 School begins PROMPT
10.00 - 10.15 Morning Break (free fruit)
11.30 - 12.30 Lunch & Play
2.00 - 2.15 Afternoon Break
3.00 School Ends

The reason DS lunch is early is because the school is quite large and the canteen is small, so the lunches are spread out over 2 hours to avoid congestion.

Break for 15 mins around 10, could start as late as 10.45

Finish at 4 (no afternoon break

My DS is the only one without an afternoon break, how important do you think it is, especially as it seems he is also the latest to finish?

He gets to play in the playground for 1/2 hour twice a day though.

Does this sound Reasonable?

My DD's hours are 8.45 to 4.30.
They have a break mid-morning when the pre-schoolers (2-5yos) have a snack, not the older ones.
Lunchbreak is 12 - 1.45, a proper 3-course affair followed by play. Sometimes they have an afternoon break, not always.

Reception - doors open 8.45, school starts 8.55, break mid morning for fruit, lunch at 12-12.45 then finish at 2.45

Y1-2 - playground until 8.55, breaks and lunch as above but finish at 3.00

Y3-6 - as Y1&2 but finish at 3.15

Not sure if the later finishers get a break mid afternoon or not

1.30 is very late isn't it?
